​​We receive donations from July to September every year. 
​​If you feel led to donate, this is a great opportunity to give to children of all ages around the world.
Shoe Boxes
  • Every year our Valley View Assembly of God church family packs shoes boxes which are sent on a journey to a boy or girl that receives this gift and hears about the greatest gift of all - Jesus.  We have so much fun gathering and packing gifts together!
    • Since 1993, over 220 million boys and girls in more than 170 countries and territories have experienced God’s love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child. Samaritan’s Purse works with local churches and ministry partners to deliver the gifts and share the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ. (From Samaritan's Purse Website)
    • Operation Christmas Child is one of many ministries of Samaritan's Purse founded by Franklin Graham.  For most of the children, this is the first gift they have ever received.  These shoeboxes are distributed by local pastors and missionaries.  
    • After receiving shoebox gifts, children are invited back to participate in a 6 week program, The Greatest Journey. Through this 12-lesson course, which includes Bible stories and Scripture memorization, they learn how to follow Christ in their daily lives as they share Him with friends and family. ​​
In 2022, we packed 287 shoeboxes.
​In 2023, we packed 214 shoeboxes.
Fundraising
  • During our annual spring church garage sale, we accept donations that go towards our Operation Christmas Child mission efforts.
